At OSAS, we believe that everyone should have the chance to grow, shine, and make their talent visible.
Our mission revolves around creating space for Black makers and performers; creative people whose stories and perspectives often remain underexposed within the art world.
We offer a platform where Black creators are heard, seen, and celebrated.
For OSAS, growth means not only developing technique or performance, but also strengthening self-confidence, learning to collaborate, and daring to dream.
Each person gets the space to take steps towards personal goals at their own pace. Whether that is performing, choreographing, teaching, or producing.
We encourage this by creating an environment where inspiration, identity and artistic freedom are central.

OSAS is about building a community where identity and creativity go hand in hand.
“Positive Black Expression” is at the core of everything we do.
It means being proud of who you are, without making compromises. We showcase the strength, beauty, and diversity of Black culture in a positive and inspiring way.
We recognize growth in our members when they dare to share more, take responsibility, develop their own style, and inspire others to do the same.
In this way, we build a community together in which every individual is given the space to grow and shine.
Our vision is to build a sustainable, inclusive, and inspiring community where people feel free to develop artistically, personally, and socially.
We want to create a safe space for young women and makers: where everyone is encouraged to learn, fail, grow, and discover.
OSAS is not just a dance group, but a home, a family. A legitimate support system that provides socially, emotionally and financially.
We strive for an organization that can exist independently through a healthy mix of grants, performances, classes, merchandise, and collaborations with cultural partners.

Therefore, we want to inspire young people to use their talent for something positive.
We view art as a means to strengthen communities and make stories visible. We’re aiming for impact, meaning that people recognize OSAS, talk about OSAS, and attend our shows. Impact is when we create new role models for the next generation of makers. It is when every show touches the audience with a sense of pride, inspiration, and recognition.
At the same time, we want to contribute to the growth and diversification of hip-hop art in the Netherlands. We will achieve this by bringing hip-hop culture to new platforms such as the theater and guiding young talent in their artistic development.
